First mini-review for GOD'S BANKERS
Here is the first pre-publication mini 'review' for God's Bankers - A History of Money and Power at the Vatican. All traditionally published authors wait for three early reviews. The one below from Library Journal is almost always first. LJ does thousands of short reviews/synopses annually. A good notice can result in a few thousand orders from libraries, although ever smaller budgets mean fewer hardcover book purchases today by many public libraries.
The next reviews before the February publication will come from Kirkus and Publishers Weekly. Good early reviews from these industry publications help get a book out of the starting blocks.
Trisha Posner likes the last line: "Lots of dead prosecutors, business moguls, and private investigators here; not a spiritual experience."
